Globelynx is trialling a new HD camera system as it looks to upgrade its stock of fixed-network cameras around the UK and in Europe.

“If the test is successful, that will bring down the cost of HD units to a few thousand pounds,” said chief executive David Fitzgerald.

“There is a lot of interest out there and we are finding that 50% of new signups are going straight for HD,” he said. “If we can level out the price differential we will offer HD as standard.”

Globelynx expects to add between eight and ten new clients this year.
