Portland TV will provide bandwidth, playout services and live studio feeds for a new channel dedicated to health and wellbeing.

Launching on 2 June 2008, Body in Balance will broadcast daily from 6am to 8pm in the lifestyle and culture section of the Sky EPG.

Asked why he chose Portland for the play out, Greg Roselli, the managing director of Body in Balance, said; “The initial support we've received from Portland has been great, the playout technology they offer is second to none, and we look forward to a close and profitable relationship.”

Body in Balance will be aimed primarily at women aged 25 to 55. Programming will cover a variety of disciplines which cater to wellbeing including yoga, Pilates and meditation.

Body in Balance is currently broadcast in Germany and Holland.

Portland TV is based in the Docklands in London. It operates twenty-five of its own channels on satellite and cable and offers play-out and other facility services to a number of others including the British Motorshow, The Yoga Channel and Real Estate TV.
