The IABM has launched a series of regional councils to provide local support for its members.

The first phase of the project will see regional councils established in Asia-Pacific, North America and Europe.

The first regional council meeting will be held in Singapore during the BroadcastAsia 2015 Show this week.

IABM chief executive Peter White (pictured) said: “This initiative shows our commitment to our members worldwide.

“The councils will be the voice of the IABM in the region, and disseminate information and knowledge.

“This is an exciting opportunity to provide advocacy to our members where they are, providing collective representation, market intelligence and a voice in the industry.”

Manor Marketing managing director Jennie Evans has been tasked with establishing the UK council.

She said: “This is an opportunity to focus on the issues that affect all UK members – the smallest as well as the largest – and to create a strong voice.

“I am excited by the challenge, and I am looking forward to leading the establishment of the UK Regional Council as soon as possible.”
