GFX Hello Charlie

Brief Films@59 was asked to provide picture and audio post and Hello Charlie was tasked with designing content and maps for the 3 x 60-minute series.

How it was done Colourist Tony Osborne used Nucoda FilmMaster to grade the series, which was shot in locations including laboratories, desert, the Hollywood hills, the La Brea Tar Pits and the Michigan Museum.

He created a bold look with different colour palettes for each location. The DVO regrain algorithm added texture.

Sound designers Paul Fisher, Ben Jones and George Fry devised a sonic character for each extinct Ice Age creature, which were created by The Mill.

Hello Charlie designed a series of explanatory graphic sequences and an antiquarian book aesthetic in After Effects.
