LA-based production outfit ATS is relocating its headquarters to the UK with Danny Sanz promoted to chief exec to run the company.

The rationale for the transatlantic hop is to place ATS “at the heart of the international entertainment industry”, as it continues its expansion across Europe, Asia and beyond, positioning the indie “closer to its growing network of partners, productions and creative talent”.

Sanz, who has been serving as chief operating officer and managing director, has been upped to chief exec to head the newly London-headquartered business, replacing existing CEO Nate Moore, who is stepping down from his role but will continue to collaborate with ATS.

Sanz has been with ATS for 10 years, during which time he has overseen large-scale productions across the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America and helped establish ATS in the industry.

The shows he has helped bring to bear with the company include Celebrity Bear Hunt (Costa Rica), The Bridge (Vietnam), SAS: Who Dares Wins (Vietnam), Top Dog Germany, and over 85 series of global hit Ninja Warrior. He has also been central to expanding its global footprint from its original base in LA to offices in London, Lisbon and Manchester.

As chief exec, Sanz will lead the group’s creative, strategic and operational direction worldwide, guiding its expansion into new markets. ATS is focused on developing original formats, expanding strategic partnerships, and delivering premium content for both broadcasters and streamers across global markets.

“ATS has always been about vision and collaboration – turning ambition into reality,” he said.

“This new chapter is about scaling that philosophy globally – pushing further to create, partner, and pioneer at a level that redefines what global entertainment can be.”
