Pact is sending 20 European commissioners and 100 UK producers on a Lake District retreat to help maintain pan-European relationships post-Brexit.

The two-day event, Content Without Borders, will give producers the opportunity to pitch projects, seek co-finance deals and network with major European broadcasters.

Broadcasters already confirmed to attend the event include Amazon, Arte, Discovery, France Television, Histoire, TF1, TV2, ProSiebenSat1 and ZDF.

The event will take place between 19 and 21 March.

Pact director of international development Dawn McCarthy-Simpson said the event will aim to show that despite the uncertainty of Brexit, UK indies are still open for business and are looking to maintain trade with Europe.

“The indies and broadcasters will be locked away together in a hotel in the Lake District for 48 hours creating a great opportunity to build lasting relationships,” she added.
