The Traitors indie scoops five awards from five nominations

Studio Lambert completed a clean sweep at this year’s Emmys on Sunday, winning all five of its nominations for the US version of The Traitors.
The UK-based indie picked up the coveted reality competition gong at the ceremony in LA on 14 September, after scooping all four Emmy Craft Awards the week before (7 September). In the reality competition category, the Peacock original beat competitors The Amazing Race, Survivor, Top Chef and RuPaul’s Drag Race for the second year running.
At the Craft Awards, the show’s Scottish presenter Alan Cumming picked up his second consecutive award for outstanding host for reality, while Brit Ben Archard was awarded outstanding directing for reality. The title also landed outstanding picture editing for structured reality for lead editor Patrick Owen and editor James Seddon-Brown as well as outstanding cinematography for reality.
Speaking backstage after winning the reality competition gong, the indie’s chief executive Stephen Lambert said this year’s win felt “twice as good”.
“To win once is great but to win it a second time is just amazing,” he said.
Accepting his award, Cumming said: “Thank you to the Academy. Your support is so lovely, we really appreciate it. Thanks to everyone who watches the show, thanks to all the people who have Traitors parties and dress up like me. We see you, we love you.”
