Input Media has teamed up with cloud-based content management and digital delivery company Octopus Media Technology.

Input Media, which provides event production, edit facilities, a studio and transmission suites for broadcast sporting events, will use the company’s technology to stream live football matches for international rights management company Sport Five and the English Football Association via theFA.com.

David Johnson, MD, Input Media said: “Our companies share common objectives and when Input Media got the opportunity to stream for The FA Cup draws, England U21 matches and the Euro 2012 qualifiers, it seemed a natural fit to work with Octopus as it allowed us to find a speedy, powerful and economic solution for our clients.”

Octopus has installed encoders into Input Media’s production centre, giving it the capability to stream up to eight football matches at the same time.
