UK Screen has appointed another board member in a bid to boost the broadcast sector’s level of representation on the trade group’s board.

Simon Frodsham, managing director of the Independent Post Company (IPC), was co-opted to the 12-man board on 30 November.

UK Screen chief executive Gaynor Davenport told Broadcast that the board was keen to appoint someone who understood the challenges in the broadcast sector, and those facing smaller facilities in particular.

Frodsham’s IPC, a freelance editor agency that he set up with Mykola Pawluk in 1992, represents 150 editors who work in long-form broadcast TV.

Before setting up the editor agency, he was director of facilities at TVi. In the new year, UK Screen will look to make a second co-opted appointment from the outside broadcast sector.
