ITN Source, the footage licensing division of ITN, has set up a sales office in Singapore in response to growing demand for archive footage in Asia.

Territory sales manager Caroline Clarke has relocated from Australia to head up the office.

The opening of the Singapore office follows the recent licensing award of two documentary channels in China, DocuTv in Shanghai and Beijing Documentary, which ITN Source said is expected to fuel demand for archive footage.

ITN Source has operated a sales office in Tokyo for more than ten years and will retain a sales presence in Sydney, providing it with three sales hubs to serve the region.

ITN Source managing director Andy Williams said: “Asia continues to be an increasingly important market for us and we are delighted to be able to support creative industries there even more effectively by locating ourselves in the heart of the region.”

ITN Source has over 2.8 million archive news clips, programmes and film titles available online, representing almost 500,000 hours of footage dating back to 1896.
