Root6 has appointed Neal Kemsley as customer services manager, a role that will see the former Avid man head up the reseller’s technical support arm.

Kemsley had worked at Avid for six years, latterly as team leader of the video infrastructure group.

The Root6 technical support team provides a range of support options ranging from single stand-alone systems to facility-wide installations on large shared storage networks.

Kemsley said: “During my time with Avid I’ve worked with root6 and come to respect their technical competence. Joining them will be a new challenge and I look forward to providing the quality and depth of support that modern facilities have every right to demand and expect.”

Root6 director John Harris said: “Neal’s appointment will reinforce and extend our support capabilities with his organisational ability and unrivalled understanding of mass storage networks and asset management.”
