Everything Works, a start-up indie run by two former Cartoon Network executives, has won its first ever commission.

Street Monsters, a 20 x 2-minute series of comedy shorts, debuts on CBBC at the turn of the month. It stars a cast of crazy animated monsters who wreak havoc on live-action streets.

It was commissioned by CBBC controller Anne Gilchrist, who described it as “fresh, funny and quirky” and said it would bring a new type of animation to CBBC.

Street Monsters is made by Everything Works, which was set up by Cartoon Network's former channel manager Paul Cackett and creative director Dan Balaam. The concept was created by artist Luke Roberts who is collaborating with the indie.
