LipSync is expanding its audio offering with the installation of another 5.1-equipped audio room and a new Foley suite.

Facility director Lisa Jordan said LipSync built the Foley suite at its Dean Street base in response to “a widening gap in the market”.

She said: “It is a great shame that productions have to go abroad when they could spend their budget in the UK, where we have such outstanding audio talent.”

LipSync has purchased an Avid C24 control surface with Pro Tools HDX software for its fifth audio suite at its Wardour Street base.

The room is linked to a voiceover booth and will be used for documentaries and TV mixes, as well as film trailers and promos.

LipSync said recent investments in kit exceeded £500,000, with the addition of a second Baselight taking the facility’s grading suites to five, including its three existing Quantel IQ grading systems.
