Chris Steele has become managing director of broadcast software development company Marquis Broadcast.

Steele, who joins Marquis from Quantel, a manufacturer of high-end visual effects and editing systems, will take over from Peter Davies, who will become chairman of the Readingbased company. “There will be many opportunities as we move into the brave new world of IP production, and Marquis is well placed to supply the necessary solutions to help integrate the multi-vendor streaming workflows of the modern broadcast world,” Steele said.
