MediaCityUK developer Peel Media has submitted plans to convert a three-storey building next to its Pie Factory sound stages into a range of office suites for small creative companies.

The new development will be called the Greenhouse and conversion work will commence once planning permission has been approved.

The building was previously used as the site office for MediaCityUK construction company Bovis Lend Lease.

Stephen Wild, the managing director of Real Estate for Peel Media, said: “The Greenhouse will provide self contained office suites spread over three floors. It is located less than a minute’s walk from the new tram terminus at the heart of MediaCityUK and complements the media hub we’ve created at The Pie Factory. It is an ideal solution for small companies looking for a cost effective and flexible way to be part of the MediaCityUK environment.”

Architects Stephenson Bell has designed the plans for the exterior and interior of The Greenhouse.

The Pie Factory is currently home to more than 20 firms and is fully occupied.
