Neil Mockler has joined Ascent Media’s Soho Film Lab (SFL) as director of film services.

In addition to his management responsibilities Mockler will focus on improving client service management and the development of new and complimentary lab services.

He has previously worked at Rank Film and Deluxe Digital and was most recently managing director of Arion Communications.

Mockler said: “Our emphasis will be to deliver to our clients an unparalleled service that is as broad as their individual needs, and one which is driven by reliability and quality with a keen eye on cost.

“Lab services are still absolutely critical in terms of a commercial, feature or high end drama production, and the fact that SFL’s services span all of these genres makes it a unique facility.

“The recent investment from Ascent has genuinely set SFL ahead of the competition and I am excited to join at a time where I can take advantage of this commitment to make SFL the first choice for film clients. 

Mockler will report into Simon Constable, senior vice president of operations, Ascent Media Group.
