Brief Complete picture and audio post for the E4 drama about teenage life in the 1990s.
How it was done The grade was undertaken on the Nucoda FilmMaster by colourist Paul Staples, who worked hard to establish a mid-90s look for the series.
Films such as The Virgin Suicides and Juno were suggested as a guide to give the series an independent movie feel.
Adam Eddy, one of the three online and VFX editors who worked on the project, created some heavily stylised dream and flashback sequences, which also formed a key part of the sound design, with SFX and dialogue editor Blair Jollands designing a pallet of sounds to augment the dark flashbacks.
The Foley design of the junk food was used to heighten and intensify lead character Rae’s feelings of isolation.
