Brief Artillery was tasked with creating new titles for the show about unscrupulous traders.
How it was done Creative director Richard Tilley came up with the concept and design, while 3D designer Ed Fergusson completed the 3D techniques.
Photos of a house were projection-mapped onto a 3D object in Maxon Cinema 4D, creating a photo-realistic 3D building.
The front wall of the house was then blasted away, with careful attention paid to achieving the right amount of force from a concrete and brick explosion.
In After Effects, details such as sparks from ripped-out light fittings and dust effects were applied to the impact of rubble to add another layer of realism.
The final grade was kept dark and gritty to reflect the unhappy mood of the unfortunate homeowners.
