Visual effects software developer The Foundry has appointed three new sales and product management staff.

Michael Bailey joins from Eyeon Software and becomes director of sales while former Digital Vision man Schel Kuehnert is the company's new director of sales for the Americas.

Tom Cowland, formerly of MPC, joins as plug-ins product manager.

Bill Collis, chief executive at The Foundry, said: “We have ambitious plans for all of our products in visual effects post production and associated markets. Mike, Schel and Tom will play key roles in helping us to expand our business worldwide, whilst making sure we stay in tune with what people really want.”

The Foundry is behind Nuke, the high-end compositing system, and the image-processing plug-ins Furnace. It also makes the Tinder plug-ins for creative and environmental visual effects work and the keying application Keylight.
