Cable giant NTL:Telewest has announced details of its quadruple-play offering which will include free digital TV to all customers who subscribe to its fixed-line phone service.

The TV service will feature video-on-demand content, similar to the Teleport service currently offered to Telewest customers.

The company's quadruple-play offering - the first to launch in the UK bundling broadband, telephone, TV and mobile phone services into one package - will cost £40, not including call charges.

Available to new and existing customers, the service also offers any two of the four services for £20, and any three for £30.

NTL:Telewest is also claiming its phone network is superior to BT's copper phone lines, giving a more consistent service for broadband users.

The service will be launched within the next three months, and are expected to have heavy marketing support through Virgin Mobile's retail operation.
