Oculus Post has bought a four terabyte EditShare storage system to help with production of the next series of ITV1 drama Wild at Heart.

Editors will use three Avid Media Composer Nitris DX systems, connected up to the EditShare 3RU (rack unit), for cutting the show.

The new storage set-up will allow the editors to share media and projects at the same time.

"The Editshare gives us a very flexible storage solution for producing high quality content within short time frames,” explained Oculus senior engineer Andrew Tant.

“The ability for multiple editors to simultaneously work together allows us to concentrate on the story lines and creative elements in a cohesive way."

Wild at Heart is the story of a vet who relocates with his family to operate a game reserve in South Africa.

Oculus Post is a post-production and equipment hire company. It works on feature films and episodic television production.

EditShare develops and builds cross platform collaborative editing and shared media storage products for digital media workgroups and production
companies.
