The BBC's new Broadcast Centre was officially opened this week by BBC Broadcast managing director Pam Masters. The centre, which has been a seven-year project for Masters and has been internally dubbed 'Pam's Pad', will provide channel management services to the BBC as well

as other companies. BBC Broadcast also confirmed this week that it has secured the channel management contract for all of the BBC's public service channels until 2012.
