Brief Provide picture post and visual effects for the BBC drama about a gang in post-WWI Birmingham.

How it was done Rushes’ director of colour grading Simone Grattarola used DaVinci Resolve to grade the drama.

Grattarola built the feel and texture using Resolve’s Log grading tools. Resolve’s 3D object tracking function was used to move shapes and specify grade effects without manually key-framing them.

BlueBolt used Maya, Nuke, Photoshop and Arnold to deliver around 50 VFX shots.

To cope with the challenges of budget and timescale, BlueBolt created a collection of CG assets such as factories and chimneys that could then be rearranged, relit and reused in different locations.

As well as environments, BlueBolt added blood and gore to some of the fight scenes.
