The facility has hired Scott Holmgren as its head of operations while appointing operations and productions manager Jethro Harris as Pepper's new head of film in response to a rise in demand for film work at the 47-strong Soho post house.

In the past eight months Pepper has posted films such as On a Clear Day, Greyfriars Bobby, White Noiseand Frozenand is currently working on Snowcakestarring Alan Rickman and Sigourney Weaver. Recent TV work includes dramas Girl in a Café, Fingersmith, To the Ends of the Earthand documentary Hiroshima.

As part of Pepper's expansion plans the facility has acquired two Avid HD Adrenalines connected to a new Unity Lanshare EX to boost HD post-production capacity.

Holmgren joins from Splash Design, a US facility where he ran a 25-strong team of editors, designers and engineers. He will be responsible for Pepper's film and engineering departments and the outfit's editing operations.

Joint managing director Shane Warden told Broadcast: "Scott's managerial experience will give us a solid foundation. We will be working closely to continue our growing international reputation for HD and DI."
