The eQ will be configured with six hours' HD-RGB storage and also includes Quantel's QColor in-context color correction option.
Pixelfantastic managing director Barrie Williams said: “We're trusted with some rather important work and we don't want to betray that trust by using substandard equipment.
"Audience and client expectations are continuing to rack up ever higher, and we needed a new centrepiece for our facility that's going to enable us to match these increasing expectations.
“This means not only speed and quality, but also it's all about workflow and having all the right tools available to do the whole job to the very highest standard.”
The Quantel eQ can be used for editing, effects, color correction and deliverables.
Pixelfantastic is based in Upminster in London and works across commercials, pop promos, corporate and live event production.
