Playhouse Studios has taken on the former Halo Post facility on London’s Noel Street, combining it with its LipSync acquisition under the Playhouse Post banner

Halo Post’s former facility on Noel Street has been acquired by Irish production company, Playhouse Studios.

It has acquired the facility and its assets and is launching Playhouse Post in the building.

An ongoing extensive refurbishment of the building is currently taking place, which Playhouse Post says will be completed over the summer.

In 2025, Playhouse also acquired post-production company LipSync, with Lipsync CEO Mark Foligno transferring to CEO of Playhouse Post.

Playhouse Post says the merger of legacy post brands Halo and LipSync under one roof reflects the group’s strategy “to build Europe’s most advanced and agile production, post-production and content financing group”.

Halo Post founded in 2004 and built a reputation as one of the UK’s leading post-production facilities. Its credits included Poor Things and Polite Society (both of which were mixed at Halo), drama series Bookish, The Jetty, Tell Me Everything and We Are Lady Parts, premium factual series such as Our Universe, Surviving Black Hawk Down for Ridley Scott and Pole to Pole with Will Smith for Nutopia, as well as theatrical music feature docs Queen Rock Montreal IMAX and Cypress Hill with The London Symphony Orchestra.

Last year, Envy Post Production acquired the Halo Group (consisting of Halo Post and Evolutions) and a few months later, placed both brands into administration.

Combining what was previously Halo and LipSync gives Playhouse Post a comprehensive high end-to-end post-production service spanning picture finishing, sound, VFX, colour grading, online editing and delivery in Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision equipped state-of-the-art facilities.

Playhouse Post forms part of the wider Playhouse Studios group, which brings together content creation and production services, post-production and film and television financing.
