PPL director of licensing Tony Clark will retire in April after 14 years with the company.

Clark is credited with delivering significant revenues for PPL’s members from the broadcasting sector. PPL said he was instrumental in negotiating high-profile deals with broadcasters such as the BBC, ITV and Sky.

Clark will be succeeded by music industry executive Jez Bell, who will join PPL on 1 April as chief licensing officer. Most recently, Bell served as chief executive of Rara Media Group.
