Its AI-generated videos will use the court transcripts to depict the exact words spoken by key witnesses
Law&Crime is planning to release AI-generated recreations of the federal trial of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
It says its genAI-created videos will offer the most comprehensive media coverage of the case.
Cameras are prohibited in federal trials, so instead Law&Crime will release visual representations of the trial proceedings. Its AI-generated videos will use the court transcripts, so they will depict the exact words spoken by key witnesses, investigators, and legal figures.
AI Media News is the newly-launched publication from Broadcast, Screen Daily, and Global Data covering everything AI in the media industry. You can follow its Linkedin account here, and X here, and sign up to its weekly newsletter here.
Law&Crime says its AI video clips will ensure viewers get a factual, real-time understanding of what’s unfolding in the courtroom.
Law&Crime President Rachel Stockman, said: “Since the public can’t see or hear what’s happening in federal court firsthand, we’re using cutting-edge AI tools to bring these important proceedings to life, based entirely on official transcripts. This is a pivotal moment in both popular culture and justice, and our goal is to provide accurate, transparent access to what’s actually being said in that courtroom.”
The recreated testimony and trial highlights will be available on Law&Crime’s YouTube channel, with new segments published as court proceedings unfold.
Law&Crime Productions is also set to release the second installment of its The Rise & Fall of Diddy documentary series on Wondery+, beginning on 10 June.
