The technology will be used to capture player reactions, content creators, and other behind-the-scenes moments

OBSBOT esports World Cup 2

The Esports Foundation has again turned to OBSBOT’s AI-powered cameras for the Esports World Cup.

The pair also worked together on the 2025 edition, and this time the technology will be on hand to capture behind-the-scenes content at EWC 2026. The event takes place 6 July-23 August in Paris, with more than 2,000 players and 200 Clubs from over 100 countries across 25 tournaments in 24 games.

Over 500 OBSBOT Tail 2  and Tiny 3 cameras will be deployed across all four competition stages and the Fan Fest festival grounds, supporting broadcasts, creator productions, player interviews, trainer footage and live event coverage, alongside interactive demonstrations and creator-focused activations at the festival.

This includes supporting a real-time content creation programme capturing event highlights and player features for distribution across EWC and OBSBOT channels, as well as documentary-style coverage from player lounges and mixed zone interview spaces, capturing pre-match preparation and post-game debriefs, alongside dedicated content production for esports clubs and creators throughout the event.

Tail 2 is a 4K PTZR live production camera powered by AI Tracking 2.0, which needs minimal manual input and can integrate with professional broadcasting environments through NDI and other pro-grade outputs. Meanwhile, Tiny 3 is OBSBOT’s flagship webcam with AI tracking.

OBSBOT will also host an interactive festival booth featuring camera challenges and live demonstrations.

Mohammed Al Nimer, chief commercial officer at the Esports Foundation, said: “Esports is built on stories. Fans don’t just want to watch the action, they want to experience the emotion, intensity and personality that define every match. From the focus before the game begins to the reactions that follow every pivotal moment, OBSBOT helps us capture those authentic player moments and bring millions of fans closer to the competition through a richer, more immersive viewing experience.”

Liu Bo, CEO of OBSBOT, added: “We are thrilled to return as an EWC partner for a second consecutive year. Esports has become one of the world’s most dynamic stages for live entertainment, where speed, precision, and creativity come together to shape how global audiences experience competition.

“At OBSBOT, we believe the future of live storytelling will be driven by intelligent imaging technologies that give creators and production teams greater freedom to capture every defining moment. Guided by our mission of achieving ‘Imaging Freedom for All’, we are proud to continue supporting EWC with our AI-powered imaging solutions and to help bring the energy of esports to fans around the world.”
