Scene Search doesn’t rely on metadata to find moments in archived material

Vida AI Scene Search

Vida has launched Scene Search, an AI-powered tool for search through archive content.

Scene Search looks through the content itself, rather than relying on metadata, returning results at the scene level. The searches can be made using natural language, and the results are then connected to asset management, rights and delivery workflows already running inside Vida’s Content operating system.

Scene Search can index existing libraries and run offline.

Symon Roue, managing director at Vida, said: “Incredible moments exist in your library. Surfacing it is the problem. Imagine someone who has watched every minute of your archive, and remembers all of it. Scene Search makes the content itself searchable, so discoverability no longer depends on what was tagged when an asset first entered the library.”
