Vizrt launches AI Keyer for green screen-free virtual scenes

Vizrt has launched AI Keyer, which, it says, eliminates the need for green screens, complex lighting setups and chroma keying in live productions.

The proprietary software is trained extensively on real-world footage across environments and lighting conditions to recognise human shapes as foregrounds. It separates backgrounds seamlessly, says Vizrt, so talent can move around while being locked into the virtual scene.
