Production company will also deliver digital coverage for women’s athletics league

Women’s athletics league Athlos has appointed Aurora as its host broadcast partner.
The production company will deliver the host broadcast and digital coverage for all events in the multi-city league format that has been introduced to the competition in 2026. It is also coming to London for the first time, with an event at the StoneX Stadium in Barnet, home of rugby union side Saracens, on 18 September.
Athlos was founded by Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian through his venture capital firm Seven Seven Six in 2024, and has expanded for 2026 with the new league format as well as record athlete compensation and an industry-first athlete equity model for eligible competitors.
Athletes taking part in 2026 include Sha’Carri Richardson, Gabby Thomas, Tara Davis-Woodhall, Masai Russell and Marileidy Paulino.

Aurora will work with the Athlos leadership team to develop the broadcast presentation of the events, aiming to combine premium live production with athlete-led storytelling, enhanced graphics and digital-first coverage. Broadcasters for 2026 that are already signed up include ESPN, X, YouTube and ION.
Barry Flanigan, chief strategy officer at Aurora, said: “Athlos is exactly the kind of ambitious modern sports property we love working with. It has a very clear vision, a strong cultural identity and a genuine desire to evolve what athletics coverage can look and feel like for a new generation of fans.
“We’re excited to help shape a broadcast presentation that reflects the energy of the league itself - combining world-class live production with athlete storytelling, innovation and a digital-first approach.”
Kayla Green, acting president at Athlos, said: “We’re delighted to have partnered with Aurora to support the next evolution of Athlos’ broadcast presentation. We chose Aurora because of its strong track record helping grow global sports properties through innovation and modern sports storytelling, and we’re looking forward to working closely with the team to bring that approach to Athlos across our live and digital coverage throughout the 2026 season.”
Ohanian said: “Athlos is going global - and London is exactly where we wanted to start. There is no city in the world that turns out for athletics the way London does - and no better stage for the athletes on the start line. Two cities, one championship, and the most ambitious season this league has ever staged.”
