The former Copa90 executive joins Footballco to drive content, commercial and brand growth across its portfolio of women’s football properties worldwide

Footballco has appointed Charlotte Thomson as head of women’s football and culture.
Thomson previously set up her own agency, The ONE10 Collective, where she worked with clients including Glasgow City, The Women’s Regional Leagues and the Women’s Sport Trust.
Prior to that she was head of women’s football for Copa90.
In her role at Footballco, Thomson will lead global strategy, content, commercial, and brand growth across all of Footballco’s dedicated women’s football brands, including INDIVISA, Yalla Girl in the Middle East, and Soccer Girl and No White Shorts in the US. She will lead the creation of new content formats across Footballco’s existing women’s football brands and develop new brands that complement its existing portfolio.
Stefano D’Anna, president of Footballco, said: “Charlotte not only brings her experience of women’s football content and strategy to this role, but also a deep understanding of the culture that surrounds the sport. This is vital not only for our own growth, but also for our partners who value insight, authenticity and cultural relevance to engage this growing fandom.”
Thomson added: “While everyone is focused on next year’s Women’s World Cup, for us our investment goes far beyond the tournament. INDIVISA has always been about more than what happens on the pitch, so I’m looking forward to growing the brand’s impact in culture, showing more diversity in our storytelling and continuing to champion the mantra of ‘More Women in Football’.”
