The international sports media market is back in Monaco from 19–21 October 2026, with a first-ever Canadian edition set for Toronto in March 2027

Sportel Monaco returns to the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco from 19–21 October 2026, bringing together the industry’s key decision-makers for three days of business, innovation and high-level connections.
The international sports media community will once again converge in Monaco to exchange ideas, explore new opportunities and shape the future of sports content.
The exhibition floor at Sportel is already 80% sold out, with more than 80 exhibitors expected to take part.
Two Circles, Infront, LaLiga, NFL , FIFA, NBA, ESPN, Sportradar, Deltatre, Telstra and SES have already confirmed their involvement, as has YouTube, Jiostar, Warner Bros, AWS and IMG.
Meanwhile, the conference programme at Sportel will explore key trends ranging from AI and live production to data, investment, betting and emerging digital business models, with a series of expert masterclasses including:
- Defining Your Corporate AI Strategy
- The Economics of Sport: Digital, Data & Investment Reshaping Sports Media
- Inside Live Sports Betting: The Technology, Data & Fan Experience
- The Future of Production: Which Way to Go?
The programme will also feature case studies showcasing real-world applications and new approaches to sports content.
Sessions from YouTube, Spiideo, WURL, Pixotope, Dolby OptiView, XR Sports Alliance and others will offer practical insights into how technology is transforming the way sports are produced, distributed and experienced.
2026 will also see the launch of the CMO Brand Programme, in collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, a founding member of XR Sports Alliance.
Taking place on Monday 19 October, it brings leading international brands and senior marketing decision-makers into the Sportel community, connecting chief marketing officers of companies that are heavily invested in sports partnerships, with key players from across the global sports industry.
The programme combines discussions, curated networking and premium hospitality, and focuses on the evolving role of sports in brand strategy, sponsorship, marketing and innovation.
“What makes Sportel Monaco unique is its ability to bring the right people together, at the right time, in the right place. For three days, the marketplace, conferences and networking opportunities create a truly international environment where business happens, ideas are exchanged and new connections are made,” says Marine Picoulet, executive director, Sportel Monaco. “As sports media continues to evolve at an incredible pace, Sportel provides a unique perspective on where the industry is heading and brings together the people shaping what comes next. We are very much looking forward to welcoming the international sports media community back to Monaco and to creating another memorable edition together.”
Sportel has also announced the launch of Sportel Canada, taking place for the first time in Toronto on 23–24 March 2027. With its strong sports culture and dynamic media and technology ecosystem, Canada is a natural new destination for the Sportel community, strengthening Sportel’s presence in the North American market and creating new connections across Canadian, US and international sports media, technology and business communities.
“When we started exploring the Canadian market, we quickly realised how much was happening there,” said Agnès Marsan, executive director at Sportel International. “The FIFA World Cup certainly created momentum, but Canada has a strong and growing sports business ecosystem in its own right. We already have relationships with a number of Canadian companies, but there is still a much broader community we want to connect with — including companies that do not yet attend Sportel America or Sportel Monaco. Bringing Sportel to Toronto is therefore a natural next step in strengthening our presence in North America and creating new opportunities for the Canadian sports industry to connect with the international market.”
