The former Buzz16 executive director takes the helm at the sports producer as it pivots towards digital and streaming platforms alongside traditional broadcast

Sunset+Vine has appointment Duncan East as chief executive officer, as part of the company’s evolution into a “digital-first, multi-platform media business”.
East joins from Buzz16 where he was managing director and more recently executive director. He previously spent 20 years at Sky Sports, rising to director of creative output.
During his time at Sky Sports, he helped shape the network’s modern on-air identity, leading large-scale production teams for flagship properties including the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.
East takes up his role at Sunset+Vine immediately, working from the company’s London headquarters.
Sunset+Vine says recruiting East reinforces its commitment to staying ahead of an evolving sports media landscape, where demand is surging for sports content that can seamlessly span across broadcast, streaming, and social media.
East will focus on scaling Sunset+Vine’s international presence, deepening strategic partnerships with rights holders, and integrating seamlessly across live, original, and digital-native content.
Jeff Foulser, Chairman of Sunset+Vine said: “We have built a business over many years that has been trusted and favoured by broadcasters, rights holders and sports federations and I am really excited by Duncan’s passion and drive to maintain and grow our reputation as an innovator in the modern world.”
“Duncan is an experienced leader who instinctively understands the craft and commercial engine of modern sports media,” adds Jennifer Roberts, CEO of [Sunset+Vine’s parent company] The Tinopolis Group. “As Sunset+Vine scales its international footprint, Duncan’s reputation as an innovator and ability to turn ideas into reality will be instrumental in defining our next era of growth.”
“Sunset+Vine has an impeccable reputation for excellence in live sport, and I am honored to lead the team during such a transformative time for the industry,” said East. “There is immense potential to expand our footprint into new formats and platforms while maintaining the world-class production standards to which our partners have become accustomed during the company’s more than three decades of industry leadership. I look forward to building on this incredible foundation.”
