Production company working with KPMG on investment or possible sale

Whisper Women's Rugby World Cup

Whisper has reported a jump in EBITA from £5.4 million in 2024 to £9.3 million in 2025, in its latest accounts.

The EBITA, or Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, and Amortization, figure comes after The Times reported that its profits have grown to £6.6 million, from £4.4 million. The production company now has £92.3 million in revenues, up from £78 million.

This comes after recent expansion that has seen Whisper move into entertainment with Wheel Of Fortune, as well as new partnerships as host broadcaster of Roland-Garros, taking over production of BBC Sports Personality of the Year from the BBC, and producing the BBC’s coverage of the recent Women’s Rugby World Cup. It is also moving into the US and Middle East.

Whisper is currently working with KPMG to source investment or a complete sale. It is currently majority owned by co-founders presenter Jake Humphrey, ex-F1 driver David Coulthard and CEO Sunil Patel, with 30% owned by Sony Pictures Television. RedBird Capital has been named as a potential bidder in some reports.
