Quantel has appointed Tom McDonald as worldwide director of market development for the firm's new line of Pro products. McDonald joins Quantel from Apple where he was worldwide product manager for Final Cut Pro. Reporting to marketing director Nigel Turner, he will be based in the United States and will be responsible for developing reseller relationships, marketing messages and a globally certified training programme for end users
