BBC Current Affairs’ two-parter about Iran’s mass anti-government protests was shy of the 400,000 (3.1%) who watched Disappeared: Mexico’s Missing 43 on a Thursday in December and was less than the 430,000 (2.8%) who tuned into the first part of India: The Modi Question in the same slot on a Tuesday in January 2023.
Rage Against the Regime, which is boxsetted on iPlayer, was also some way behind the 652,000 (4.6%) slot average.
BBC2’s doc was level with the third instalment of Kiwi import After the Party on Channel 4, which took in 350,000 (2.1%), a drop on the 633,000 (4.3%) it opened with last week. All episodes of After the Party are available on C4’s streaming platform.
Cause of Death on Channel 5 informed 770,000 (4.7%), according to Barb data supplied by overnights.tv.
Shetland continued on BBC1 with 3m (18.9%), but was no match for slot winner I’m A Celebrity which entertained 5.5m (34.7%) on ITV1.
On multichannel, True North Productions’ Evicted: Tenants on the Edge drew 43,000 (0.2%) on BBC3, behind the 55,000 (0.4%) slot average.
