Audio facility The Voice and Music Company has had an image overhaul and been rebranded as Soho Square Studios.

The firm said the new identity, which includes a new logo and website, is being introduced to emphasise the studio’s upgrade to Pro Tools 9, the streamlining of its workflows and the appointment of dubbing mixer James Doyle and sound engineer Simon Capes.

The 21-year-old facility said it will continue to offer its current range of sound design, mixing, recording and composing services but is also looking to grow its film, TV and commercials business with the help of the two new members of staff.

Simon Capes joins the facility having worked at both the Tape Gallery and Silk Sound. James Doyle, who joins from Pinewood Studios, has worked on Mythbusters, Would I Lie To You, and In the Night Garden.

Company co-founder, managing director and composer Alan Coates said: “With our current growth and reputation for audio post-production excellence, it feels like the right time to show off our fantastic studios and amazing location on the Square. Giving the company a new name really helps us to do that.”
