The Jim Henson Company has signed a deal worth a reputed£150,000 with car company Renault that will see the infamous Animal character from The Muppet Show star in a new commercial. The new ad will be a follow-up to the Thierry Henry-fronted 'Va Va Voom' campaign for the Clio car. The deal is rumoured to include a clause insisting that Animal must be provided with a business class seat for the flight from the US to France where the ad will be shot.
