Rushes has produced and posted a new ad for VW, featuring a series of images depicting the skulls of different animals, including a hippo, a baboon and a Siberian tiger. The final image in the spot is of a VW engine looking very similar to a skull. Once a basic 3D wireframe of the skulls had been created, photos were taken and texture mapped onto the 3D models, with lighting passes created to increase the 3D look. Inferno artist Matt Jackson then took stills of the engine, spliced them together and scanned them in Spirit. Finally, Jackson stabilised the images in Inferno to produce a seamless shot. The ad was commissioned by the agency BMP.
