Technicolor has pulled together its VFX, post, animation, and digital cinema distribution divisions into one group.

The Production Services group is a combination of the company’s Creative Services and Digital Productions divisions.

Tim Sarnoff (pictured), who was head of digital productions at Technicolor, has taken on the role of president of production services.

Sarnoff, who is based in the US, said: “I’m excited for the expanded role and opportunity to lead an organisation which is world-renowned for its creative talent, standards-setting technology and operational excellence.

“By aligning our services to offer a more holistic approach, we are creating efficiencies that will better serve the needs of our customers.”

Former president creative services worldwide Claude Gagnon has been appointed senior vice president for content solutions and industry relations.

He will lead Technicolor’s technology initiatives in areas such as colour science, high dynamic range and sound.

In the UK, Tom Cotton remains Technicolor head of creative services, while Mark Benson continues to run global operations for MPC, Technicolor’s VFX business.
