SeaChange International has adapted its latest generation of standard and high-definition ingest and play-to-air codecs so that they include support for Sony's XDCAM HD422 format.

XDCAM HD422 support allows operators using SeaChange's MediaClient (MCL) 6000 series codecs to establish XDCAM workflows for news and production in full compliance with Sony specifications, while also enabling fast exchange among XDCAM devices, non-linear editors and SeaChange transmission servers.

"XDCAM technology was designed with the flexibility to work with a range of solutions, and its compatibility with SeaChange's solutions will bring the benefits of optical disc workflows to a wider range of users," said Bob Ott, vice president of professional and optical products at Sony Electronics.

SeaChange's range of content storage, streaming and management solutions include the FML 200 Flash Memory Library broadcast server.
