Sequence Post has refitted its Fitzrovia base ahead of this week’s relaunch of the facility.

The £250,000 overhaul includes a second DaVinci Resolve grading suite and a 64-terabyte EditShare XStream system with a built-in proxy server and Flow licences.

Clients will now be able to switch between Avid Media Composer, Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve.

Managing director Ben Foakes said: “We are still very much an Apple hardware facility and we have not written off FCP.

“It still has a place at the moment, and we are making FCP X available on all our suites if a client requests it.”

The craft workstations are now connected by a new 10-gigabit Ethernet connection, enabling editing at full HD online quality.

“We have an aggressive technical strategy for the rest of the year and this is the first stage of a much bigger concept,” said Foakes.

“I believe there are more efficient, cost-effective and technically adept ways to approach post, and the upgrade reflects this.”
