Signiant has released apps for iPhone and iPad users to share content using the company’s file transfer system Media Exchange.

“The process of capturing and creating content is increasingly happening on the fly, away from the office — whether it’s a reporter with a smartphone or the producer’s assistant reviewing dailies from home at night,” said vice president of product management at Signiant Rick Clarkson.

Signiant said that once downloaded, Media Exchange users can log in with the same credentials they would use with their browser or desktop client and can select which content channels they want to subscribe to.

“Extending access to popular mobile devices provides unprecedented flexibility in how users access Media Exchange, while ensuring the same level of security and acceleration that media and entertainment organisations require.”
