Sky has taken full control of web publishing company mykindaplace as part of the satellite group's strategy to expand its online presence and better serve teenage and over-45 audiences.

Mykindaplace Ltd, in which Sky previously owned a 49% interest, will continue to work independently from its London offices, maintaining the growth of its existing sites led by managing director Charlie Redmayne. It will also provide support and expertise for the expansion of the Sky Networked Media portfolio, with the first of the new sites expected to launch later this year.
