Sonnet Technologies has launched a 1U rack-mount, four-drive Raid 5 storage system with an eSATA interface.

Sonnet said the product combines a high performance controller for maximum versatility, critical data protection, and speedy file transfers.

Sonnet chief executive Robert Farnsworth said the product would complement the company’s xMac mini Server PCIe 2.0 expansion system 1U rack mount enclosure for Mac mini, and would support its small-to-medium-sized customers.

It is available in 8TB, 12TB and 16TB configurations.
