Women in radio networking event Sound Women is hosting a digital-focused panel event fronted by former Tomorrow’s World presenter Maggie Philbin this week.

Taking place at Absolute Radio’s One Golden Square studios on 22 November, the Digital, Interactive and Developer Event is the third in the series of events and follows the launch of its mentoring scheme which was kicked off in April.

Philbin will be joined by Clare Sutcliffe, the founder of Code Club, a volunteer-led after school club teaching 9-11 year olds to write computer code and campaigning agency Lady Geek chief executive officer Belinda Parmar.

BBC head of speech radio and classical music interactive Andrew Caspari, who is currently prioritising encouraging the retention of female staff as they enter their 30’s, is also contributing.

Sound Women was established in 2011 to raise the profile of women working in the UK radio industry and help support emerging and experienced leadership
