Brief Post-produce the live show VTs as well as a 60-minute preview documentary that celebrate the contenders and retell their sporting achievements.

How it was done Using Dock10’s connection between the BBC Sport archive and Dock10’s Interplay system, clips were pushed via EVS at the Farm North into Dock10’s Isis 7000. They were managed by assistant Ross McAdam using Avid Interplay.

At its peak, the team pushed 40 hours of clips a day, all at AVC Intra 100. Splitting the workload between eight edit suites, the fast-turnaround documentary and the VTs were edited simultaneously.

The edit team worked with Media Composer version 8.4.5 and used Genarts Sapphire V9 plugins.

The Dock10 VFX team completed animations.

The VTs and the documentary were dubbed in one of Dock10’s 5.1 Pro Tools v11 suites.

Having delivered AS-11 files, the final VTs will be played out live via EVS at the OB.

The editing team included David Horwell, Nathan Carpenter, Nicholas Perry, Dominic Robson-Smith, Ricky Wild, Steve Williams, Chris Blood and David I’Anson.

Mark Ryder mixed the audio for the live show VTs and Luke Williams worked on the contender documentary.
