Audio post facility Strongroom has finished the construction of a new HD protools 5.1 studio and is looking to branch out into video editing.

The Shoreditch-based audio specialist has kitted out the suite with high-def projection and is prepared to work at 7.1 surround sound capability should demand arise.

Strongroom has recent credits which include the yet to be aired Naked Celebrity for broadcaster Five and the Dunkirk series for BBCi.

The company is also looking to venture into other forms of editing with one offline and one online suite planned.

It is weighing up whether to go with Avid kit or try out Apple's Final Cut Pro.

Client relations manager Ruth Barrett said it was "more than likely" that the systems would be HD.
